Happy Mother’s Day everyone, I hope each of you have a wonderful day.
Isn’t it amazing how one little person can change your whole world. I’ve been looking through photos and thinking about how well Danyale has adapted to being a Mother. I’ve watched her over the years care for her nieces and cousins with amazing thoughtfulness and compassion. I had no doubt she would be a good mom when her time came, but it’s truly amazing to witness how one little person has transformed my wife… forever.
Years ago I joked with Danyale about how I wished she would grow up and became a responsible mother; waking up earlier, fixing breakfast, planning her day, being responsible, being less random, less sporadic. Well that day has come and it’s a beautiful thing.
Speaking of beautiful, in celebration of Mother’s day, I’ve put together a 5 part photo series photos showing Danyale in action. Each day between Sunday and Thursday, four – never seen before photos will be released. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.

Its holding Anna Catherine time. My favorite part of the day is when I get to hold Anna Catherine. Now that she is getting bigger and stronger I get to hold her quite often. She is so cute. Here are some recent photos of us:

My first baby shower was hosted by Margaret and Mary Ellen at the beautiful Lake House in Baton Rouge. I am so thankful for the effort and time they gave up to make this day so spectacular! They blew me away with their creativity, this was the most beautiful baby shower I have ever seen.
Friends from work, pokeno, book club, and the new neighborhood were invited. I feel so blessed having so many of my friends celebrate our sweet little miracle, Anna Catherine.

Wow, what a difference two months make. Today I was looking at photos of Anna Catherine’s little hands. Particularly I was looking at some recent photos where she was holding Danyale’s finger. Then it hit me, I had a much earlier photo showing Danyale holding Anna Catherine’s tiny hand. Putting them side by side helps demonstrate how much Anna Catherine is growing. At first she could barely grip Danyale’s finger tip, now she can hold on tight to her whole finger. I love her little hands.
